This is not a real mountain guide but my private webpage about tourism in the Tatra mountains. You can find here not only over a hundred good quality photos (look in galleries), but also descriptions of the most interesting places and routes. Sorry, but only some basic information is available in English at the moment. Other pages are now only in Polish.
General info: Tatras are the highest part of whole Carpathians and the highest mountains in Central Europe. Total area of 785 square km is split between Slovakia (610) and Poland (175). The highest peak is Gerlach 2655m. Tatras are very interesting place for tourists because there are hundreds kilometers of marked routes beginning with very easy and finishing with real via ferrata.
Statistics: This web has been visited 17771 times since the beginning on February 23rd. The highest daily result was 209 on July 29th (accordingly to STAT4U reloads excluded). Visitors were coming from 40 different domains including Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia and Turkmenistan. Below there are statistics for sample photos.
